Dr. Philip Solomon is certified in Canada and the United States in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Solomon is also certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, an exclusive and elite designation achieved by only a select number of surgeons province-wide in Ontario.
He completed his medical school training at the University of Toronto. He then went on to complete a five-year residency training program in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Toronto, one of the world’s leading education centres for Head and Neck Surgery.
Following his residency, Dr. Solomon further enhanced his training in Facial and Nasal Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery by spending an additional year refining his skills in Facial Cosmetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Solomon also traveled internationally to train with renowned experts in the field of Facial Plastic Surgery. When he returned, Dr. Solomon went on to complete certification by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The ABFPRS is the only certification process in North America that examines exclusively on cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery of the face and neck.
Dr. Solomon has completed an 8 year, 2 term tenure as Chief of Surgery at Mackenzie Health Hospital, formerly known as York Central Hospital. Dr. Solomon is currently on the teaching faculty at the University of Toronto, Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery – Division of Facial Plastic Surgery. Dr. Solomon remains a respected surgeon on the surgical staff at Mackenzie Health Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital, and St. Michael’s Hospital in downtown Toronto. Dr. Solomon has co-mentored a clinical fellowship in Nasal Physiology and Surgery and has been involved in Resident and medical student education in Nasal and Facial Plastic Surgery. Throughout his career, Dr. Solomon has written many articles on Facial Cosmetic Surgery including research studies specifically on Rhinoplasty Surgery.
Dr. Solomon is widely recognized as an industry leader in Cosmetic Facial Plastic Surgery in Canada; having performed thousands of procedures.
